ONEONTA, N.Y.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Ioxus, a manufacturer of premium performance ultracapacitor technology for use in transportation, industrial and energy applications, today announced it has been ranked 46 on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500™. The list identifies the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America. Ioxus’ ranking reflects a 6,082% fiscal year revenue growth from 2008 to 2012.
Ioxus’ CEO Mark McGough credits the company’s proven ultracapacitor technology and its dedicated team for its success. “Being named on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500™ list is testament to our industry-leading R&D and dedication to creating market-leading products that are relevant to many global industries today,” he said. “The ultracapacitor market is predicted to reach $3.5 billion by 2020 and I expect Ioxus’ advanced technology to be at the forefront.”
This is the third award recognizing the company’s growth bestowed on Ioxus in recent months. Ioxus was ranked #935 on the Inc. 5000 in August and last month the company was included on the Global Cleantech 100 for the third year in a row.
Earlier in 2013, Ioxus unveiled the 1200F iCAP™ cell, a high-powered building block for a new family of advanced module products enabling superior start/stop designs for combustion engine vehicles. This introduction followed the successful launch of three new modules for renewable energy and heavy transport applications: the iMOD® 80V/12F, 16V/500F and 48V/165F series. In July, Ioxus received $16 million in Series C funding from investors. The company plans to use the funds to further research and development, expand its manufacturing capabilities and increase sales and marketing operations.
“We have a tremendous stable of investors who share our vision for energy storage and see the same, massive potential for Ioxus that we do,” continued Mr. McGough. “Our proven technology sets us apart from competitors and puts us at the leading edge of the burgeoning energy storage industry.”
