Accounting Associate  

Summary of Position:  The position is responsible for the daily processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, vendor and customer account reconciliations and assisting with the completion of month end reporting. The Accounting Associate will routinely work with members of the finance, manufacturing and sales teams.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs Accounts Payable functions including
    • Matches invoices to purchase orders and shipping receipts
    • Reviews general ledger coding of all invoices
    • Performs review of employees’ expense reports
    • Maintain monthly credit card reconciliation; work with other departments to ensure all receipts are captured for credit card expenditures and coded correctly
    • Obtains  proper  approvals of expenditures and processes vendor payments
    • Manage vendor inquiries and reconciliation of vendor statements
    • Assure safeguarding of all checks
    • Prepare Federal Forms 1099 and 1096
    • Maintain current vendor W9 forms
    • Maintain all accounts payable files
    • Prepare monthly reconciliations 
  • Performs Accounts Receivable functions including
    • Assist in credit approval process
    • Process customer billings
    • Apply cash payments to customer accounts
    • Assist in achieving timely accounts receivable collections
    • Process customer credits
    • Maintain all accounts receivable records
  • Assist in the compilation of financial information to prepare monthly financial statements, including the preparation and recording of journal entries and completion of reconciliations
  • Assist with the preparation of schedules and supporting documentation for the external audit and tax return preparation.
  • Assist with annual compliance reporting
  • Interface with other departments to ensure accounting issues are addressed in a timely manner
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

 Education/Experience:

  • 1-3 years of general accounting experience
  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel  and other MS Office applications
  • Experience with ERP system preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines
  • Teamwork and ability to interface with employees and all levels of management

Electrical Design Engineer

Summary of Position: Responsible for the design, development, test and qualification of hardware and controls software of ultra-capacitor module products including improvements in the existing designs, cost reduction, and development of new designs.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for design and development of monitoring and power electronics to operate in conjunction with ultracapacitors and ultracapacitor modules
  • Operate computer aided design software for design and simulation of power electronics and circuit board layout
  • Responsible for developing and programming microprocessor control firmware
  • Responsible for ensuring electrical designs meet IPC, ESD and EMC standards. Design and development of electronic filters and protections for PCBA’s as required
  • Development of automated test equipment for production product testing
  • Involvement in reliability verification and validation of new and existing products
  • Interface with other Ioxus team members for system design and integration
  • Establish and maintain timelines and resource plans for multiple simultaneous projects
  • Prepare detailed documentation for internal and external review
  • Maintain design responsibility for existing Ioxus products
  • Support warranty evaluation and design responsible defect investigation
  • Observe appropriate environmental, safety and health policies and practices
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

 Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering field, computer science, or a professional license. 3-5 years engineering experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate
  • Proficient with the development of C programming language and integrated environments from Microchip, Texas Instruments, and Atmel
  • Proficient with the development with various communication structures including CAN, RS-232, I2C, SPI, Bluetooth, and WiFi protocols.
  • Excellent knowledge of analog and digital electronics such as switches, rectifiers, RC circuits, relays, transistors, op-amps, flip-flops, and voltage references
  • Proficient with Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD suite (Capture CIS, PCB Editor)
  • Comfortable working with and around medium voltage (600V+) power electronics devices
  • Capable in test and debug of printed circuit boards using bench top equipment (oscilloscopes, power meters)
  • Proficient in mixed signal design and microprocessor integration for high-reliability electronics
  • Knowledge of Automotive Core Tools such as DFMEA
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Mechanical Design Engineer

Summary of Position: Responsible for the design, fabrication, testing and evaluation of ultracapacitor products including improvements in the existing designs, cost reduction and development of new designs.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design from first principles original ultracapacitor modules to be used in automotive, stationary, industrial, and cleantech industries
  • Working closely with applications engineering and directly with customers, define requirements and detailed specifications of product
  • Establish and maintain timelines and resource plans for multiple simultaneous projects
  • Responsible for the thermal and mechanical characterization of the prototype product
  • Responsible for the writing of all post design/build documentation including performance specifications, test data and operating procedures
  • Responsible for the writing of all documentation, including BOMs and detailed fabrication and assembly and quality procedures, required for serial production
  • Working closely with purchasing, determine the most appropriate component suppliers for serial production
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Control in establishing the appropriate standards and the tools to measure and evaluate products
  • Interface with other Ioxus team members for system design and integration
  • Maintain design responsibility for existing Ioxus products
  • Support warranty evaluation and design responsible defect investigation
  • Observe appropriate environmental, safety and health policies and practices
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

 Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering field, computer science, or a professional license. 3-5 years engineering experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate
  • Expertise in SolidWorks. Experience in Comsol Multiphysics and thermal design considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stacks, and familiar with manufacturing processes like sheet metal, extrusion, welding and injection molding
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to conduct technical reviews and communicate expectations to customers and team members
  • Experience with DFMA and FMEA procedures
  • Product packaging experience preferred

Administrative Assistant

Summary of Position: The Assistant provides company-wide administrative office support by completing a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The Assistant will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, mail distribution and the flow of correspondence.   The Assistant will also complete administrative duties for the Chief Executive Officer, as well as the Controller to support payroll and human resource functions.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform receptionist duties: greet visitors, issue visitor passes when required and refer them to correct person.
  • Answer phone lines, forward calls to correct person and take messages in a timely and polite manner.
  • Perform administrative duties including the preparation and distribution of correspondence, document preparation, updating databases, and accurate hard copy and electronic filing.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
  • Maintain the front desk, the reception area, the board room and the administrative supply closets; keeps them clean, neat and properly stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Assist with the coordination of appointments, meetings and special events including arranging for facilities, caterers, issuing information or invitations and agenda preparation as needed.
  • Maintain accurate business calendar and professional contacts for the CEO.
  • Prepare and reconcile CEO’s expense reports.
  • Provide administrative support for payroll and human resource benefit enrollments, onboarding, and related employee files.
  • Strictly uphold confidentiality and a high degree of discretion dealing with all company business.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Other clerical and administrative duties as assigned.

 Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma with a minimum of two years clerical or administrative experience.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must present a high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
  • Experience in managing multiple concurrent tasks and meeting rigid deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work independently and cooperatively with others.
  • Proficient computer skills working with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment and telephone systems.

 Production Technician     

 Summary of Position:  This is an entry level position.The Technician fabricates a finished component through all necessary stages of assembly.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • May build an entire production run, including mixing, coating, pressing, stripping, welding, winding, cell assembly and testing.
  • Attach terminals or leads and assemble components.
  • Place parts in ovens and operate at the specified time-temperature to produce a properly dried assembly.
  • Place parts in filling tubes or pouches specified to incorporate electrolytes as specified.
  • Seal product in cans or pouches using curling, sealing and welding equipment as specified.
  • Work closely with Quality Department to produce a finished component that meets customer specifications.
  • Maintain production records to record all specified data for each production batch.
  • May assist personnel in the Engineering, R&D, and Production Teams
  • Observe and practice appropriate environmental, safety and health policies and practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Maintain work area to be clean and orderly

 Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Work with hands, simple math, follow instruction
