Current events, gas prices and the rise of the ultracapacitor

Gas pump sticker shock. We’ve all painfully experienced this lately. And we’ve all heard the reasons, and none of us really know when some relief may be in sight.

We can add higher gas prices to the certainties of life, death and taxes. Gas prices have been inconsistently rising for years, when renewable energy costs (for example, from wind and solar) have been consistently falling. It might actually be better if gas prices consistently increased because the economy and markets don’t like surprises.
