Ioxus is a technology company, and our iCAP ultracapacitors, iMOD modules, and THiNCAP products are optimized for higher power density, higher energy density, and voltage levels that provide simple solutions for our customers to incorporate our products easily.  Significant design efforts, along with the most advanced R&D in the market, have allowed Ioxus to significantly enhance products with various cell balancing techniques to solve problems for the hybrid automotive, hybrid bus, wind turbine pitch control, UPS, and industrial markets.

Ioxus is devoted exclusively to providing environmentally friendly products for use in a range of applications, UPS, wind turbines, industrial and automotive needs. By simplifying integration with packaged modules, Ioxus is assisting customers in generating end products faster, allowing for a quicker market adoption of the ultracapacitor technology. Ioxus cells are UL listed, and ready for use in your applications.

Power Systems Co., Ltd was acquired by Ioxus in 2012. This has allowed Ioxus to expand our product offering to include both prismatic pouch cells, or our THiNCAP® and THiNPAC® lines, as well as cylindrical iCAP® and iMOD® lines. Ioxus offers Ultracapacitors with chemistries using Acetonitrile (ACN) and Propylene Carbonate (PC).

Ioxus was acquired by Scottie Johnson and XS Power Batteries in 2020.

Management Team
Title

Scottie Johnson, CEO

Johnson is a 1999 graduate of Western Kentucky University’s college of Industrial Technology, where he built his foundation and understanding of electronics and battery design and development through practical application in the automotive aftermarket.  Now owner and operator of battery brands XS Power and TurboStart, Scottie has accumulated over 25 years of experience in the energy storage industry.  The addition of Ioxus’s vast manufacturing experience and high-powered product offerings will pave the way to new developments never-before imaginable.

Chad Hall, President

Chad Hall is the Co-Founder and President for Ioxus. His engineering, manufacturing, sales, development, and marketing skills have been instrumental in setting Ioxus in motion and continuing its fast-paced market growth. He has helped the sales organization gain new customers and enter new markets due to his intimate knowledge of the product line and his ability to interface with customers technical sales role.

 

Over his career, Chad has been heavily involved in several National Lab projects, and played key roles in each of their successes. Mr. Hall has performed a critical role in the development of Ioxus by securing and setting up the factory, and now serves as the President. Chad was instrumental in securing VC funding as well as federal and state resources for the establishment of the company and further development of products. In an effort to develop the Ioxus products, he attends and speaks at multiple conferences and technology summits in the electrochemical energy storage industry, and he continues to contribute to the IP portfolio of the company. Chad is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and is the Alumnus of Merit, 2010, for SUNY College of Technology at Delhi.

Hiroyoshi Okutani, President of Ioxus Japan

Hiroyoshi is focused on business development in the Japanese automotive OEM customers, as well as industrial markets.Hiro is the former President of Osram Japan Ltd., Hiroyoshi has senior management experience at Siemens Japan and Fuji Electronics.

 

Aimee Vogel, VP of Finance

Aimee has over 25 years of accounting and auditing experience with proven leadership of finance departments performing at high levels of compliance with government and accounting standards. Aimee is the former CFO Opportunities of Otsego, Inc. and former Manager at Piaker & Lyons Certified Public Accountants.
